Day 4 In Him we find...

"Holy cow!" Ha that phrase cracks me up, why do we say that?!  I sure don't know of any cows that are holy. In fact, I don't know of any animals that are holy. The only thing holy I know is God.

I love how in scripture the angels don't describe God as "holy", but "holy, holy, holy"! That should really grab our attention. He isn't just "holy", but He is "holy, holy, holy"! One "holy" isn't good enough.

You see, holy means to be "set apart". God is unique and superior. He is pure and sacred. He is everywhere (omnipresent), all knowing (omniscient), and almighty (omnipotent). No one, I mean no one,  can come close in comparison to God. He is clearly set apart and He loves you! For someone to be so perfect and to love someone so imperfect proves true love. All the reason to be in complete awe of Him and to praise Him. Just like the angels sang, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord almighty; the whole earth is full of His glory" (Isaiah 6:3).

In Him we find holiness.

If you are following along in the year reading plan, today is a catch up day. Last reading was Luke 17-18.

  3. I think dogs are an animal that are at least close to being holy. They have faith in their owners in the same way that we should be having faith in Jesus.

    1. I definitely agree, Robin! I don't think it's a coincidence that GOD is dog backwards :) Blessings!
